Our Team of Dedicated Clinical Interns
Clinical Intern
Veronica N. Buckles, B.A.
Veronica Buckles completed her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Chicago State University. Upon graduation, she immediately began to pursue a Master of Art in Counseling.
​
She has completed targeted training programs aimed at working with children, adolescents, and families and she uses this training to help patients work through complex and traumatic experiences. Veronica also works with adults who are in need of an empathic ear and clinical interventions.
Veronica has a professional background in
working with youth and as a family mentor
with The Department of Children and Family Services. As a former Youth Pastor, Veronica is able to integrate her spiritual beliefs within the therapeutic context.
Clinical Intern
Sylvia S. Neil
Sylvia Neil graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in psychology. She also earned a bachelor's degree in computer information systems from St. Leo University. After earning multiple degrees and certifications in computer science and a highly successful twenty-year career as an engineer, analyst, and manager for data integration solutions she rediscovered her dream of being a professional therapist.
In 2020 Sylvia enrolled at Regent University in Virginia to pursue her M.A. in Marriage, Couple, and Family Therapy and subsequent licensure as an LMFT (Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist.) Her passion is for strengthening marriages and families through therapy. Sylvia brings a sense of mature wisdom, powerful presence, and hopefulness to each of her clients.
Sylvia is a Christian, however, she works with all clients regardless of their spiritual preference. Her preferred theoretical approach for individuals is cognitive behavioral therapy and structural family therapy for couples and families.
